Just got home from Bouquets to Art at the de Young, the annual celebration of Spring that showcases the museum's collection paired with amazingly innovative floral design.
This year's floral designs seemed better than ever, but maybe it's just because I have a different appreciation of the art of flower arranging now that I've had a couple classes. The first slide in this slideshow, of the urn covered with succulents paired with the painting by Whistler, is an arrangement by Jenny Tabarracci, AIFD (my flower design instructor) and some of my fellow CCSF Floristry Students.
The de Young's Bouquets page also has another slideshow at the page bottom with other over-the-top arrangements I didn't get photos of. Enjoy!
